  Tasty food - Fantastic authentic family run restaurant. They do cocktails, extensive menu and specials. What makes this is the entertainment while eating. Such a treat to find. Definitely recommended

A starter of bruschetta was fine, did what it said on the menu. My date declared her calamari the best she has had in years. Light batter and not chewy.

A main of sea bream on spinach was well cooked. Crispy skin and firm, succulent fish. Nicely seasoned with just the right amount of salt and garlic. A side of potatoes in a tomato sauce showed potential, in terms of the sauce that is. In my humble opinion it could be enhanced by sauteeing the spuds first though and making the sauce a little richer through olive oil, herbs and even a touch of worcestershire sauce and sugar(sorry I know this isn't very Italian )

My date's vongole was well received. Al dente pasta (perfect), lots of clams, but a splash more white wine would help balance off the rich garlic essence that ran through it.

Onto dessert. My sticky toffee pudding was awesome. Soft, springy, sweet and rich. Oh yes! Custard was good but a thinner creme anglaise would have smashed it out of the park. My date's toffee apple crumble wasn't so good. Needed more toffee in the appl and crunch in the crumble.

Wine selection was decent and well priced.

The menu isn't extensive but I do think that's a good thing, and they do daily specials (none on when we went though).
